Our supper club, the “2×4’s”, met recently for our monthly dinner at the newly opened italian restaurant, Le Farfalle.
If you’ve been in Charleston a while, you might be familiar with its location, nestled down on Beaufain St. in the former downtown Vickery’s.
It was… fabulous. We started with an app. of the warm focaccia bread with three dipping sauces to share and, of course, cocktails all around. Their dirty martinis may have been some of the best we’ve had (you do know that not all dirty martinis are created equal, right?).
Then for dinner we had the meatballs, ChickPea appetizer, and gnocchi with homemade muh-za-rella. Others at the table got the tempura mushrooms, duck confit pasta, and crispy potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our cocktails and wine with dinner were so thirst-quenching, they tasted like another. So… we did.
The birthday we were celebrating in our group justified the candel-ed chocolate deliciousness dessert. It was finger-lickin’ good.
The atmosphere is cozy, the booths are comfortable, they don’t rush you out, and they have a quaint outdoor patio. If you’re thinking about trying this place out, think no more!
We’ll certainly be back.
